Terry has several specials that serve different jobs, so the first learning task is choosing a small set with a clear purpose. Grounded confirms into Burning Knuckle provide a practical finish, while Power Wave and Round Wave belong to different range and pressure decisions.
Use grounded positioning and the appropriate projectile to seek a manageable confirm. Choose medium Burning Knuckle when practicing its follow-up, then approach with the listed crouching medium punch or walking throw. Add Power Charge juggles once that basic route has a purpose beyond damage.
Learn which input produces each and compare their range roles before treating them as one projectile option.
Start with the medium-version combo finish in the guide. Keep the follow-up distance tied to that version.
Practice its input as a separate response so adding more offensive specials does not consume all your training time.
Take a simple route into medium Burning Knuckle from the combo page and repeat it on both sides.
After the listed finish, rehearse dash into walking throw or crouching medium punch and compare a backward-walk option.
Practice the guide’s OD Power Charge conversion separately, keeping screen position and meter conditions visible.
Adapted from SF6 Lab’s Japanese character notes and combo / setplay guides. The practice routes use Classic inputs; consult the linked guides for full conditions and current numerical data.
Terry practice starts with Burn Knuckle enders and then adds Power Charge extensions. Keep the later portions of midscreen and corner routes distinct.
His grounded tools are a strength.
His slower Drive Rush makes grounded approaches worth practising too.
Start with crouching LK into crouching LP and medium Burn Knuckle, plus crouching MP into standing LK and the same ender. Practise delayed inputs after Power Charge separately.
Check walking throw, crouching MP, and shimmy choices after medium Burn Knuckle separately from corner forward-throw pressure. Once in the corner, consult the Round Wave routes.
These practice notes follow the published guide and combo material. Check the combo page for route conditions and the frame table for move values.
