Jamie asks you to choose between immediate pressure and building drink level. That choice changes which moves and routes are available later in the round. A useful beginner plan therefore starts with a reliable low-level combo and a deliberate decision after the knockdown, not a full-level showcase route.
Use a grounded confirm to earn a knockdown, then decide whether this is a drink opportunity or an opportunity to maintain pressure. The guide distinguishes heavy Arrow Kick finishes for drinking from light Arrow Kick pressure. Reassess that choice as the corner approaches and your drink level changes.
Learn a heavy finish first, then compare the listed light-version follow-up. Treat them as different decisions after a hit.
Connect drinking to a knockdown you understand instead of using it whenever the opponent briefly stops moving.
Its Drive Rush routes provide a grounded entry into carry or drink-building conversions. Check the drink requirement for the chosen route.
Learn the medium-punch route into heavy Arrow Kick with the normal round-start resource setting.
After the same starter, practice one drinking finish and one pressure finish. Name the reason for choosing each before you execute it.
Reproduce the guide’s sweep target-combo drink finish there and practice the listed strike/throw decision afterward.

Jamie’s drink level changes his available moves, routes, and wake-up pressure. Treat gaining a drink, dealing damage, and continuing pressure as separate goals.
His options improve as his drink level rises.
His Drive Rush takes some adjustment; practise its approach spacing specifically.
Watch the current drink level as well as the starter. Use the guide’s level conditions to avoid choosing an unavailable follow-up or the wrong knockdown setup.
These practice notes follow the published guide and combo material. Check the combo page for route conditions and the frame table for move values.
