A.K.I. turns poison state into a routing decision. Projectiles and long-reaching attacks help her find an opening, but the conversion you choose must account for whether the opponent is poisoned. Learn a route for each state before optimizing the larger poison-triggered reward.
Use Nightshade Pulse and grounded reach to prepare an approach while tracking poison. When a hit connects, choose the matching conversion instead of improvising the poison branch late. A heavy Serpent Lash finish leads into the listed movement and strike/throw choices; learn those as part of the route.
Learn the projectile and its approach role before adding a more elaborate poison setup.
Separate the strengths and poison conditions in the combo guide. Heavy Lash is also a starting point for the documented post-knockdown pressure.
Measure where the starter reaches. A successful long-range poke does not imply the same spacing works for the light conversion.
Run one guide route with poison and its unpoisoned alternative. Reset the state deliberately rather than keeping it fixed.
After the listed heavy Lash finish, rehearse the double-dash approach and compare the grounded strike and throw options.
Record an opponent approaching, then practice your short light confirm only when they have entered its range.
Adapted from SF6 Lab’s Japanese character notes and combo / setplay guides. The practice routes use Classic inputs; consult the linked guides for full conditions and current numerical data.
A.K.I. practice distinguishes basic heavy Serpent Lash enders from extensions against a poisoned opponent. Check poison status before committing to the follow-up.
Poisoned opponents allow stronger combo conversions.
Short light-attack reach requires checking distance even at close range.
Start with crouching LP into standing LK and heavy Serpent Lash, then the standing MK to standing MP route. Add longer Drive Rush and Heel Strike routes afterwards.
Separate Drive Rush pressure after heavy Serpent Lash from poisoned-opponent extensions after medium Serpent Lash. Learn the poison-marked routes together with their conditions.
These practice notes follow the published guide and combo material. Check the combo page for route conditions and the frame table for move values.
