PLAYING JURI

Character overview

Juri links close-range confirms to Fuhajin stock management. A simple medium-punch sequence can build the resource used by her expanded special-move routes. Start with that repeatable loop, then learn when spending stocks improves carry or damage and when a Tensenrin finish gives the pressure you want.

Strengths

  • Fuhajin routes combine a confirmed opening with stock building, making resource preparation part of ordinary offense.
  • Her guide offers boosted special-move extensions and distinct corner follow-ups, so a familiar starter can grow into several purposeful routes.

Weaknesses

  • The route you can complete depends on Fuhajin stocks. Practicing only with a full resource setting hides decisions you will face in a match.
  • Feng Shui Engine adds another layer of routing. Learning it before stable normal-state confirms can leave the rest of your game underdeveloped.

Best range / preferred gameplan

Seek standing or crouching medium-punch contact at close range, with crouching medium kick Drive Rush as a grounded way in. Finish a simple confirm with medium Fuhajin when building stock is useful. Spend deliberately on a route that improves your next position rather than extending merely because stocks are available.

Key tools to learn first

Medium-punch confirm

Standing medium punch into crouching medium punch and medium Fuhajin is the Japanese guide’s first learning target.

Fuhajin and boosted specials

Keep stock-building Fuhajin separate from the Saihasho, Ankensatsu and Go Ohsatsu routes that use the resource.

Heavy Tensenrin

Learn its role as a combo finish and use the matching corner follow-up. It does not leave the same situation as medium Fuhajin.

Beginner practice order

  1. Build stock from a confirm

Practice the medium-punch route and the light-attack route into medium Fuhajin, checking the stock display after each finish.

  2. Add the next close decision

Rehearse the listed dash after medium Fuhajin into a strike or throw. Include a backward step against a recorded throw escape.

  3. Choose a stock-spending extension

Learn one boosted route with the required stocks, then reset to an empty stock display and practice choosing the simpler route instead.

Common mistakes

  • Attempting a stocked conversion while watching only Drive meter and ignoring Fuhajin stocks.
  • Using heavy Tensenrin corner timing after a different finish because both combos ended in a knockdown.

COMBO PRACTICE NOTES

JURI: choosing and practising your routes

Juri routes differ depending on whether you build or spend Fuha stocks. Keep ordinary combo practice separate from Feng Shui Engine practice.

What to learn first

Start with standing MP into crouching MP and Fuhajin. Then practise crouching MK cancel Drive Rush and heavy Tensenrin enders.

Turn the route into a match decision

Check your stocks before selecting an extension on hit. Keep normal corner-pressure routes distinct from routes used during SA2.

These practice notes follow the published guide and combo material. Check the combo page for route conditions and the frame table for move values.
