Marisa makes a confirmed opening count through heavy-hitting conversions. Her next attack depends on which Dimachaerus or Phalanx route produced the knockdown. Start by making one punish reliable and attaching a known follow-up, rather than assuming a large attack will keep working simply because it is threatening.
Work toward a range where your grounded heavy attack or confirmed medium sequence reaches. Once it connects, pick a finisher with a follow-up you know. Use the resulting strike threat to support the close throw decision; do not treat charge or armor as permission to ignore the opponent’s response.
Compare charged and uncharged versions in practice. Learn the actual contact and recovery rather than assigning both versions the same role.
Learn one conversion and its continuation first. Keep the light- and medium-version knockdown practice separate.
Use the guide’s close-range setup as the starting point for learning the throw. Its purpose is to complement a strike the defender respects.
Record a punishable reversal and learn the simple heavy-hit conversion from the combo page before extending it with meter.
Practice one version, its movement afterward and the listed forward-heavy-kick timing. Only then add the alternative version.
From that known setup, record a defender guarding or trying to escape. Practice the strike, Enfold and waiting as distinct choices.
Adapted from SF6 Lab’s Japanese character notes and combo / setplay guides. The practice routes use Classic inputs; consult the linked guides for full conditions and current numerical data.
Marisa’s practice notes distinguish the basic MP sequence into Gladius from Dimachaerus routes that lead into wake-up pressure.
Damage from a successful conversion is a major strength.
Reactive anti-airing can be difficult; practise jump responses as well as grounded combos.
Learn standing MP–MP into medium Gladius first, then the medium Dimachaerus alternative from that starter. Add crouching MP Drive Rush afterwards.
Study charged back HP and Enfold corner pressure separately from standing HK Punish Counter conversions. Keep punish practice distinct from ordinary-hit routes.
These practice notes follow the published guide and combo material. Check the combo page for route conditions and the frame table for move values.
